Strange Cargo

“Impressed.”

From the Georges House Gallery Guestbook comments.

PV composite Strange Cargo

Strange Cargo|Georges House Gallery was the second venue in the four venue tour. The space was much smaller and more intimate bringing the works into closer proximity with one another. This proximity meant that the relationships of the works to each other changed. For example David Riley’s Twitter User Names: Coded and Transcribed placed next to Kate Murdoch’s It’s the Little Things brought into sharp focus the changes in identity, past and present.

The composite image above is from the Artists in Conversation discussion. It was a lively discussion with several people joining the conversation. We were very fortunate to have Hernietta Thomas video-taping our discussion. Click on the video below to see her lovely work. Arnold Borgerth continues to provide us with gorgeous images of the installations, see his images below.

WordPress is refusing my like of this page. Great pictures and video of conversation. I hear bar EP blues lurking there in the background throughout…

That’s odd, maybe try to like again later or tomorrow. Thanks very much! Arnold is taking some fantastic installation shots and Henrietta is making some great videos. Yes, it’s been quite lovely having your Bar EP Blues soundtrack in the background during these discussions, people have responded and commented positively on its presence. Personally, I loved sitting with it on in the gallery, it calmed my whole day, every day.

Still not able to like (just) this page. Very weird. Not to worry, as long as others can. So glad the bar EP blues soundtrack fits so well.
